Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of qrcodegenerator.fyi (the "Site"), operated by Play Nice Together, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Description of service

The Site lets you create QR codes encoding URLs, plain text, WiFi credentials, contact (vCard) information, email addresses, SMS messages, and phone numbers, with custom colors and embedded logos.

2. License to use the Site

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal or commercial purposes. The materials produced by the generator (including but not limited to image files, text files, and HTML snippets) are yours to use; we claim no ownership over output you generate.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation
• Generate codes or content that infringe the intellectual property rights of others, including registered trademarks, copyrighted images, or assigned qrcode prefixes you do not own
• Generate codes intended to deceive, defraud, or harm others (such as QR codes pointing to phishing sites or malware)
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or related networks
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Site at a rate or volume that interferes with normal operation
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Site beyond what is publicly visible in the browser
• Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices on the Site
• Use the Site in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure

4. Disclaimer of accuracy

The materials produced by the Site are provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind.

We make no representation or warranty that the bar code generated by the Site will:

• Be free from errors, defects, or inaccuracies
• Be unique, valid, or registered in any global database or registry
• Function correctly in every device, scanner, browser, operating system, or use context
• Comply with the technical specifications, standards, or commercial requirements of any specific platform, marketplace, retailer, regulatory body, or industry organization
• Be suitable for any particular purpose, including but not limited to commercial sale, retail distribution, regulatory submission, or production deployment

Specifically: QR codes generated by the Site are not guaranteed to scan in every reader, on every device, in every lighting condition, or at every print size. Logo embedding reduces error correction margin; scan reliability degrades as logo size increases. WiFi QR codes do not authenticate that the credentials work — verify them manually. URL QR codes contain whatever URL you supply; we do not verify that the destination is safe, valid, or controlled by you. You are responsible for testing scannability before any production or large-scale use.

You are solely responsible for verifying that any output you generate is fit for your intended purpose before using it. We strongly recommend testing generated output in your target environment before any production, commercial, or large-scale use.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, reliability, security, and availability. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Play Nice Together, Inc. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or any output generated through the Site.

This includes, without limitation, damages for:

• Loss of profits, revenue, business opportunity, or goodwill
• Business interruption
• Loss or corruption of data
• Cost of substitute goods or services
• Personal injury or property damage
• Failure of generated output to scan, function, validate, or comply with third-party requirements
• Any rejection, recall, fine, or commercial loss arising from the use of generated output

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or relating to the Site shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars ($100), or the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Play Nice Together, Inc., its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Site
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of the rights of any third party
• Any output you generate using the Site, including its content, distribution, or commercial use

8. Third-party services and links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources, and may serve advertising provided by third parties (including Google AdSense). We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or reliability of any third-party site, service, or advertisement. Your interactions with third parties are solely between you and the third party, and you agree that we are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from those interactions.

9. Intellectual property

The Site, including its design, text, graphics, logos, code, and the arrangement thereof, is owned by Play Nice Together, Inc. and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Open-source components used on the Site are licensed under their respective licenses (see the Site for attributions).

Output you generate using the Site is yours; we claim no ownership over generated qrcodes, QR codes, favicons, or related files. However, we do not transfer any rights in third-party content (such as logos or images) you may incorporate into generated output. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any third-party content you supply to the generator.

10. Modifications and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to terminate or restrict your access to the Site at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Play Nice Together, Inc. regarding your use of the Site, superseding any prior agreements between us regarding the Site.
